In my last blog, I talked about how I was doing physically, and talked about a few life changing events that had happened in my life (primarily, my race being postponed). Today, I wanted to share a little bit about what the Lord has been teaching me in all of this, and what he might be trying to tell you, too.
First, let’s talk about the Gospel. The Good News. This, THIS, is where our joy comes from. Why? Because the story goes that we are broken and sinners. I have definitely felt broken these past few months. And that our sin is not pleasing to God. Essentially, we have chosen darkness as a human race. There have been many times recently that I have felt that darkness closing in, covering over me. Thankfully, this is not the end of my testimony, and hopefully it is not the end of yours, either. Let’s back up, God created us and desires that we love Him like He loves us. But love is not real if you are not given the choice to, well, not love. So God gave us that choice, and, knowing that our choice would be darkness, He had a redemptive plan of being made whole and pure once more. Enter Jesus, son of God and fully man. Jesus came, He died on our behalf, and defeated death so that we could live. I urge you, brothers and sisters in Christ, to never forget this beautiful Gospel in daily life and in all of our hard circumstances. While God’s plan for each of us looks different, we can rest knowing that it is good, and that it leads to joy and real love with Him.
I personally am excited for God’s plan for me and all He has in store on the World Race Route that He has given to me. The hard part is not knowing which one it will be. Each day, I have to remember that God has me exactly where He wants me. His redemptive story is being played out with each moment that passes; EMBRACE IT and live accordingly.
**One more note to those of you that have supported me or planned on supporting me financially through this mission trip. First, THANK YOU for your support. You have made a huge impact and God has used you to show me parts of His plan for me and my ministry. Second, ALL the money previously fundraised is going towards my next route and will be used for the Kingdom as I plan to go to 11 different countries as soon as my health improves. Third, I am still not fully funded, and I ask that you consider giving in these next few months as I continue preparing for my next missionary journey. You can give a one time gift, or become a partner with me through monthly giving! Please click here to donate online.
