Sorry everybody, haven’t written a blog in forever. I honestly have been busy doing so many other things, but I have neglected my supporters in telling them what has been happening! I want to start out by saying thank you so much to everyone who is subscribed to my blog. I haven’t checked it in a while, so it was really so cool to see how many people are following my journey. I will definitely be sure to do my best to post more often. I am now in Zimbabwe on month 3 of my race. Let me tell you, so far, it has honestly been so fruitful and I’ve grown immensely. There have been some really sweet times along with some tough ones that I’d love to share about.

The last time I wrote was in India, and honestly it was a really difficult month for me. Ministry was really cool because I was always with children, but I was stagnant in my relationship with the Lord and I just was not really willing to grow. I was being extremely stubborn and just making myself not enjoy India. What I did want to come out of that month was being intentional with my time. I wanted to be intentional with my team and the time I spent with the Lord. I really didn’t learn what that looked like until I got to Nepal.

Nepal, so far, is my favorite month. I had ministry hosts who, by the end of the month, became my very good friends. Before ministry started, we had a debrief in Thamel, Nepal. One of the days, I went hiking in a national park with a few of the other racers. While hiking, I fell down and injured my knee. After an MRI, I found out I strained some ligaments and my meniscus was extremely inflamed. The doctor gave me a knee brace that had to keep my leg straight 24/7. It was pretty funny to watch me walk, but it hindered me from doing ministry sometimes since Nepal is clearly so mountainous. Since I couldn’t go to ministry sometimes I had a lot of time to myself. I began to read my Bible, journal a lot, and just spend time resting in the Lord’s presence. This was when I learned to be intentional with my team and with everything I did. We went to a village named Gorkha and stayed there for a week. We had no means of communication, so it really was just time to spend with my team and with God. I used to hate having quiet time because I would get so restless but now, I truly look forward to it every day. Even though I had that injury, some really sweet things came out of my month in Nepal.

Ministry in Zimbabwe so far is a lot different than I was expecting. I am in a city called Bulawayo and I thought I was going to be staying in a village. I am living in a church called Youth for Christ. It is really cool because I get to plan fun events for the kids/teens. This weekend, we are having a huge game night with a short message at the end. Later today, we have to go walk around the city and hand out flyers. This month, so far, isn’t as much evangelizing, but more of behind the scenes stuff. It’s really cool though because we will see how the Lord works in these things. It is definitely about being patient, but maybe that’s what God is teaching me.

I just want to say thank you again for taking time to read my blogs and walk alongside me in my journey. Please pray for my team and I during this month in Zimbabwe and the rest of my squad as well! I will be in Africa for four months, so also be praying for so much more growth in those as well.

How can I be praying for you? If you would like, please leave your prayer requests in the comments or message me!
