Have you ever wondered what certain words mean? I mean obviously you know what words mean when you say them. But, sometimes there are words that we say that we don’t even know there true meaning. Maybe it’s just me who doesn’t know what they mean, but I thought I would share with you about what these words mean! These are a few powerful words that I wanted to share with you all.
Amen– We use this word all the time… but it is a powerful word. It means “So be it” it can also mean “agreement or emphasis” So be careful when you say amen, because you are saying to God “so be it.”
Hosanna-This is a praise word which is an expression of adoration, praise or joy. It is a Hebrew word that actually means “I beg you to save me” or “Please deliver us.”
Blessings– This means to invoke Gods favor on someone, a favor or gift bestowed by God.
Hallelujah– It is a Hebrew word that means God be praised. It is a call to worship and means “Praise ye Lord.”
Intercession-It is a Latin word that means the action of saying a prayer on behalf of one another. Intercession is a battle, it is the battling in prayer for the needs and wants that we have here on earth.
Holy-This word is used a lot, especially on the front of your bible, where it says holy bible. This word means that something is sacred or consecrated to God.
Redemption-This word is used a lot when people say “God will redeem.” The meaning is the action of being saved, or being saved from sin or evil.
Faith– This word is a big one. It means to have complete trust of confidence in someone or something. The first three words that popped up we’re trust, belief and confidence.
I wanted to share this with you guys because God is showing me the importance of my words and how I use them. Words are powerful and what we say has influence! So let’s use our words to bring life!
