I stepped into a hallmark movie this week. What do I mean by that you may ask? Well I made my way into Serbia at the beginning of this week.

A small town in the northern part of Serbia to a town called Sombor. It was like stepping into a movie. It’s a small town with beautiful squares, coffee shops and people riding bikes everywhere. When my team and I arrived it was snowing, FINALLY! I felt like I could breath. It felt very similar to a place I know very well. My home of 22 years.

It was weird because I felt like I was stepping into my hometown. The snow covered land and flat fields, with small neighborhoods and small town feels. I thought I was back in Manlius, NY until I snapped out of it and realized I was taking a bus to yet another country!

This month is a different one, for sure. The weather is colder, the people speak Serbian, which let me tell you is very hard to understand. The culture is different. The ministry is different.

Each month my life changes, everything changes. I’m starting to adjust to this change and realizing that this is my life. I have lived in South America for three months, Asia for two and after my stay in Europe I will have lived here for six months.

After stepping into this hallmark movie I realized that life can be a dream. That is if we ask God to make those dreams come true. When I was younger I always wanted to travel the World, I loved helping people and talking to people, and I love Jesus. Well guess what that is my life!!! It’s not a dream! But I’m living in a dream!

No I’m not telling you that this dream is easy. I’m telling you that it’s a dream, but dreams can be hard. They are hard to live up to and I have to push into hard times, sad times, but good times, and fun times!

So anyways, my team and I made it to Sombor Serbia and we are loving it here!! Stay tuned for more updates about Serbia 🙂
