Hello, friends!
Since I’ve been writing a lot recently, I thought you might want a visual blog this time (I suppose you could call that a “vlog”? haha). Below are some pictures from the last couple weeks of ministry life here in Quito! It’s amazing to see how God is working in and around Ecuador in my life and the lives of those around me. Hope you enjoy!

See the road we’re standing on? It’s the main street in front of the girls’ home and this crazy crew hand paved it. Still not done, but we’re making progress! *wipes sweat*

Still gotta get rid of that looming pile of bricks chillin in the background….

The lady on the front left is none other than our awesome ministry host, Gina! Her, her husband Dan, and their daughter Samantha (11), have committed to living here in Ecuador for five years on the same property as the girls’ home. It has been a pleasure getting to work with them and see what God’s doing at Dunamis! This picture was taken during PVT with us, the non-PVTers, at the Weston’s when they invited us over for some hot coco and chai tea!

Meet Tikki, the man behind the camera for most of these pics. One of our ministries during PVT was hosting a mini VBS camp on a soccer field in the middle of a run-down neighborhood a few minutes away from Dunamis. For three days in a row we prepared Bible story skits, brain-stormed a craft pertaining to the Bible story, and prepared food to hand out to the people. We would literally walk around the neighborhood and go house to house inviting people to come and join us. Tikki and I took this pic when we came across a glass mirror while walking the streets and gathering strangers to come to the field:)

These ladies and I laughed and fellowshipped for a good 45 minutes while the kids made crafts. They had the time of their lives!

I found my Ecuadorian twin, Samantha!

The kids listening to our pitiful re-enactment of Daniel and the Lion’s Den…..
…..and one of the lions.
In case you’re wondering what i’m doing in the background, I’m teaching some kids karate who desperately wanted to learn some moves. Almost got punched in the face. Got kicked in the stomach a couple of times. Thanks, dad, for teaching me your mad black belt skills.
Say, “queso!”

This right here is downtown Quito. According to our bus driver: “you can’t get any more down than this.”
We stayed here in a hostel for mini debrief (a time to come together and fellowship, worship as a Squad, and prepare ourselves for upcoming ministry) over the weekend and had a blast!
The breathtaking view from the rooftop of the hostel.
It kinda felt like Paris (not that i’ve ever been there but I got the “Paris vibe” ;-).

Dan the man!
We completely and utterly destroyed this here shed. Like to the ground and into the land fill, destroyed.
The view we get to wake up to every morning.
CJ at work.
Just an awesome pic to show how awesome Tikki really is.
The world’s largest assembly line.
Tikki the artist writing Bible verses on the bedroom walls to speak life over the girls who will be living in this home.
My squadmates spreading a gigantic dirt pile down the mountain for….i’m not sure what purpose exactly. To quote one of my squadmates, “we are literally moving the freaking mountain!!!!”
That’s all for today!
