Wow! What a great weekend!
After working on Friday, I was able to have a google+ hangout with some of the people from my squad. Technology is so cool! We were able to video chat and just get to know each other better for a few hours on Friday night. So cool!
Saturday was a BIG day for fundraising! Saturday morning was our garage sale, and while we didn't have many people attend, we were still able to sell some items! That's always awesome. Since we have so much left over, though, I think we will be holding another garage sale, possibly in a new location. I'll keep you updated as I have more information. After the garage sale, I went and met Tammy Dahl and her band at PBA. We were just pulling all the equipment and instruments out of the trailer when it started pouring! But, God came through and we were given an even BETTER place for our worship night. Upstairs weyenburg at PBA is made for first class concerts. So, after a little moving around, we got everything set up and the band did a sound check.
There were more people who showed up to the concert. It was cool inviting people to it. Outside of the room, there's a balcony that is over where the cafeteria has the entrance. So, right beneath us, there was a group of four PBA students having lunch. We yelled to them from the balcony about the concert, and they ended up showing up at the concert. It was such a great event!
Tammy and her band absolutely ROCKED! They are SO talented! I was able to sell some tshirts, bracelets, and CDs. It was a really great day!
Thank you so much for all of your prayers! And a BIG THANK YOU to Tammy and her band for coming down to PBA to make the concert happen!!
