I recently had the opportunity to travel to California for one of my best friends wedding. Flying from Pennsylvania to California is no small feat. I had two layovers both directions which I was really looking forward to just having time to myself. On my way out, I was flying from Pittsburgh to LaGuardia then to Dallas then finally to Ontario. If everything stays on time there would be no issue. I arrived at Pittsburgh with plenty of time.
*side note- I was a little concerned about my layover time in LaGuardia
Back to the story. When it became time to board they announced there was a problem with the door seal. Everything was okay I had some leeway. But then they had to keep delaying and finally one of the employees said if you next stop was Dallas please come to the front. I grabbed my bag and switched flights and went straight to Dallas. To be honest I didn’t really think much about it. I was just excited to get to California.
Had a fantastic time in Cali and the wedding was absolutely perfect. Her family was such a blessing and just what I needed.
Now to fly home:
My flights were from Ontario to Phoenix then to Chicago and finally Pittsburgh. I had plenty of time in Phoenix and should have enough time in Chicago.
*side note: I was a little concerned about my time in Chicago after experiencing many delays in the past. But nonetheless I should be fine.
Back to the story. I arrived at the airport in California with plenty of time. I boarded and took off without a problem. After arriving in Phoenix I found my next gate and waited. When it was time to board they were asking if anyone would like their bag checked for free and they would make sure it arrived in Pittsburgh. I didn’t want to worry about my luggage while I was in Chicago. After changing gates 7 times, from one end of the terminal to the other, I finally arrived safely in Pittsburgh.

So what is the point of this story. Jesus CARES. I never thought to stop and pray that God would take care of my worries or concerns. Jesus knew what my side notes were without me bringing them to him. He took care of them without my asking. He knew what was on my heart and what was weighing me down. He chose to carry my burdens. If He cares this much about me and the things I was just going to deal with myself then how much more does He care about the things we bring to him in prayer.

Whatever you are going through and whatever you are willing to just “deal with” YOU ARE NOT ALONE! JESUS CARES.

In Mark 8 The disciples were on a boat and they were hungry (this was after Jesus fed the 4000) Jesus asked His disciples how many leftover baskets did they collect. To which they answered 7. At the end of it He poses a question verse 21 He said to them, “Do you still not understand?”   Jesus was trying to explain that He cares and will provide for them.
Another thing Jesus said in Mark 8 verse 33B “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” We do not know what God is doing in our lives. We cannot see the future but He does and He CARES.
