Well, hello from
Uganda. I’m not entirely sure what has happened to my inspiration to
write blogs because there has just been soo much happening…yet, I
have gotten so lazy.
I am in Uganda.
It was kind of hard to say ‘goodbye’ to my family in Rwanda. I loved
them. We had a very relaxed month there, with very little ‘ministry’
time and a whole lot of down-time, which led to a ton of time spent
getting to know the family we were living with, to be on the internet
and to be with Papa God.

Uganda is a
different story.
Here, we are
staying with a family, however, we are not staying in their house, we
are staying in two separate guesthouses on their property. This
month, instead of six girls sharing three beds in one room, we have
six girls spread among four different rooms. I technically have my
own room this month. (It is, however, constantly over taken by my
teammates, but whatever…)
And, we’re back
to going door-to-door again this month. Our mornings are spent going
to different schools or hospitals, giving testimonies and just
talking about our God, and then in the evening, we split up and go
knock on people’s doors to tell them about Jesus.
As scary as it
sounded back in Kenya going door-to-door to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, has now
become something that I completely enjoy doing. I actually look
forward to it.
In fact, we were
praying for this gramma the other day, and I remember specifically
thinking, “I’m going to miss doing this when I get home.” The
Lord quickly corrected that thought and reminded me that America
needs this just as much and that my life on the World Race can be
transferred into my life in America. He’s reminding me that He is in
fact the same miracle working God in America as He is in Africa.
We are learning
so much here. About boldness, about passion, about faith. And I am
constantly blown away by the readiness and faith of my girls.
I have girls on
my team that prior to the World Race (probably prior to Africa) would
have not thought to lay hands on a person and ask for healing; and
now, now they’re going to a strangers funeral with me, fully
expecting to raise the dead. We have all just learned so much about
our Father and know that death, sickness and disease is never His
will…and we have the authority to command that His will (health and
wholeness) be done.
Unfortunately,
the funeral did not go as we hoped. We had asked to get there before
the actual ceremony happened, our pastor knew that we fully intended
on praying for and raising the dead. But, when we got there, the
service was in full swing. We never actually got to even lay hands
on the woman.
We went home a
bit discouraged, but the Lord has been reminding me constantly to
remember the healings and the miracles that have taken place
and to not dwell on what I don’t understand.
In fact, Erin
was able to pray for a little girl who was having an asthma attack
during the wedding and the little girl was miraculously healed. But
we kept looking past that miracle because the one we wanted to see
didn’t happen.
So, that being
said, we’re off to another great start of our last month in Africa.
Expect more and more stories of our God being who He is and showing
up.
Oh…also,
internet is not readily available this month. Just fyi.
Loves.
