(if you don’t count the word ‘the’, obviously) So, today’s post is brought to you by the letter “P“.
Things in my life that start with “P“:
1. Pancakes.
Never would I have ever thought that pancakes, of all things, would become a staple in my diet, espeically on the World Race. I mean, I worked for Le Peep for about a year and i still don’t think that I ingested as many pancakes then, as I have within these past three weeks. It’s slightly rediculous.
2. Pizza.
This is slightly less rediculous as I absolutely love pizza. However, it seems to be, that whenever we have an option as to what we are going to eat…I have opted for pizza. And it has defiantely happened more than I would have imagined. But, it’s so delicious that I can’t help it.
3. P C F.
This is the ministry that we have been so blessed to work with these past few weeks. And you guys, I can not express to you how much I love it there. I love going to the dump site. Yes, there is a smell…and yes there are mornings where I have to battle my flesh…but once we’re inside P C F…everything changes. A lot of times I actually forget that I am in the dump. The women and children…and the youth! These are God’s people, His princes and princesses. I really encourage you all to check out their website (www.p-c-f.org) and prayerfully consider sponsoring one of the kiddos.
4. Pastor Ron and Joanna.
I haven’t written about these two enough. They are incredible. They had sponsored a couple of children through the PCF program and decided that they should come to Tondo and visit. They planned a four month stay…that was three years ago. They started the church part of PCF and are really just incredible. You should probably plan a visit to Tondo and come work along side of them.
hey look…there they are: (he’s filipino and she’s scottish)
and finally…
5. Pink Eye.
Yep. I am currently disgusting. :)…actually, i kind of look like this: 😉 and had to move from the dorm where 10 of us have been sleeping…to my own room… It really is no suprise to me…about four of the kids have it. I spent about five hours waiting in line to be seen by the doctor and get some eye drops. (props to Amy Duncan for being so awesome.) but really, the Lord is just so awesome. I could expound on this point…but i feel this is turning into a much longer blog than I intended. He is just so good. And though pink eye is from the pit of hell (believe me) the Lord uses everything for His glory.
The two teams working in the dump site have really been attacked with sickness…and I just rejoice in the Lord’s goodness. I mean, He is so faithful to us. and I want to brag…these two teams, despite everything we’ve been confronted with, have displayed such joy. I am proud to be part of these people.
ok loves
have good night
filled with
praise! and power! and heaven rocking prayer!
