hello my lovely bunch of friends!

as you may, or may not have noticed…i’ve been really lazy about blogging this month.  which is interesting to me because we had sooo much more down time here than we did in the Philippines.

i think it’s because our ministry was sooo absolutely different and soo low key.  i had mentioned previously that we were working at Kawan, a homeless drop-in center (slash) feeding program.  but that only ended up being for the first couple of weeks.

another team (PLJ again) had to come and stay with us in Penang, because their contact was going out of town or something.  so, PLJ spent the last week or so working at Kawan and team Gozo was sent to the hospital.

we spent our last week and a half as volunteers at Penang’s Adventist Hospital, and we just did whatever they wanted us to do.  Which in our case was help fundraise.  We did, after asking, get the opportunity to spend our mornings with the Chaplan praying for patients.  which was awesome.  But, our afternoons were spent fundraising.

the gang in our nice, blue volunteer vests!

this month was definitely a stretch for my team and i.  it was a month where we really had to hold our expectations of what we would be doing on ‘the world race’ with an open hand and really be willing to do whatever it is that we were asked to do.

i know beyond a doubt that the Lord was working behind the scenes major this month.  planting and uprooting things in each of us.  and it’s been tough.

i love you all

we’re heading to Thailand!  i’m sitting in the airport right now actually…watching about 40 people’s carry on luggage as they eat.  🙂

see you later gators!

oohhh…p.s. team gozo painted a mural at Kawan… the idea was that no matter how dark and dirty and city may seem, the Lord is big and beautiful and can (and will) bring life!
