Daily life…
So I don’t really like to blog…
BUT I do love what I am doing and the people who are supporting me back home…
So let’s compromise…
I will stick to short blogs every few days just about what we are doing, and you all can share the updates with your friends and family, deal!?
Great!
So today was AMAZING. (as I am sure most my blogs will start)
We spent the morning painting one of the new relief houses and learned a marble game from some of the kids in the tent community. After that Dan and I fumbled aimlessly through the market trying to find some stuff for Jbuns’ (Jon’s) birthday tomorrow! With a quick bite to eat we packed up a tap-tap (Hatian “taxi”) and went with the whole family we are staying with (the focus of my next blog) and went into one tent village in the mountains where they have been building a lot of relationships. There we played a little soccer, had Haitian freeze pops, and impromptu worship in between the tents with some of the new believers!
AND NO THE DAY WASN’T OVER! After sorting some donations for the kids like clothes, crayons we had family dinner. After which Brother Nate told me what it was like being here in January. He lead a team down here just days after the earthquake. After dinner was kids club where we showed the Jesus film and my Creol lesson with our translater Jimmy!
Best day ever?
YES!
