Hello friends and family!!!
Just writing a quick note to let you know that we made it to the
DR. It did not seem like we had actually gone to another country
since the flight was less than two hours. However, the bus ride
was four hours so I felt a little farther away by the time we arrived
in San Juan. It helped to make me feel a little further from home.
The DR reminds me a lot of my Thanksiving break only six weeks
ago. It´s a little warmer here, but the atmosphere, culture, and
scenery is much the same.
We are currently doing some training and generally getting
oriented. We will be headed off to our team´s ministry site by
the end of the week.
Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it safely, we´re sweating
it out with the warm weather, and eating rice, beans, and
plantanes. I´m lovin´ it!
