Our ministry host this month is absolutely incredible. Roger has been running Loyalty School (where we teach) for the past 8 years and running his church for 4 years. He does so much all the time.

Let me tell you about Roger. This man serves the Lord SO well. I’ve never met anyone like him. During the week, you’ll find him picking up kids and dropping them off for school as well as taking them back home. He teaches and manages his school during the day and has meetings almost every afternoon. He will be speaking on Sunday mornings as well as helping to lead worship. He also speaks at other churches. In all this, he still manages to pour into and love his wife and two kids so well.

This man. He does it all and you wouldn’t know how busy he was because he is always so joyful and gives his time and attention to whatever he’s doing at any given moment. His faith is so astounding. We had quite a bit of rain here this past week that we had to close down the school due to the damage that was done. Roger wasn’t flustered or upset at the repairs that needed to be done, but with a truly joyful and content heart he trusted the Lord was still in the midst of it all. He knew the Lord was still good and didn’t have a faith based on circumstances, but rather one based on Truth. You don’t see faith like that in most people.

Whenever there’s something that needs to be fixed, he’s on it. The mud needs to be shoveled out and rocks removed? You can bet Roger is getting in there and doing the dirty work. He truly is a hearer and doer of the Word of God.His heart to serve others is beyond incredible and honestly so convicting. There are definitely areas in my life where I can learn to be focused on others more and focused on myself less. I pray throughout the Race (and life) I would continue to walk in humility and serve others far more than I’ve done before.

With a grateful heart,

Sam
