As we end our time in Albania and begin month 7 in Bosnia, we pause to prepare. Up to this point, we’ve been assigned a ministry host each month that our team would partner with and serve alongside. We would do ministry according to what we were told and help out in any way we could. Because of this, we have been able to link arms with some pretty incredible people around the world. This month will only be just a tad bit different.
The thing about scheduled ministry is that we can become so used to a routine that we forget ministry isn’t a 9-5 thing— it’s a 24/7 thing. One thing AIM doesn’t want is for us to get to the end of these 11 months and be good at doing the World Race. They want us to know what it is to live a life on mission. Yes, all the 9-5 stuff is important, but when you step out of the box, you will see incredible things happen. When you’re willing to be interruptible, God will do big things.
So this month, we don’t have a ministry host or a specific place to stay. This is an Ask The Lord (ATL) month. We as a team are supposed to seek the Lord on where we should go and what we should do. It could be anything from talking to people in coffee shops to helping an old lady take out the trash. Anywhere we can be the hands and feet of Jesus and share the love of the Father, we will gladly go.
It might seem a bit crazy and far fetched, but the Lord will meet us where we’re at and guide us in the way He wants us to go. Right now, He’s leading us to Konjic. We’ll be there for a few days with a ministry we learned about through someone we met in Albania. After a couple of days, we’ll see where the Lord takes us to next. I’ve got a couple requests in the mean time:
1) PRAY. As you can imagine, we will need all the prayer we can get! Pray that we would seek the Lord daily and be willing and obedient to whatever He has for us, that every divine appointment would be met, that we would all be bold, that we’d have the Lord’s favor with all our finances (I’m our team treasurer), and that we believe for even greater things than what we’ve already seen.
2) If you happen to know someone who has a ministry in Bosnia, feel free to message me! Our team would love to meet up with them to see how we might be able to help!

And lastly, we’ve had a route change! Instead of going to China for month 11, we’ll be going to Sri Lanka! Due to issues with acquiring visas, AIM decided it was best to just reroute us so we get to pioneer (kinda) a new country! We’ll be the second squad to go to Sri Lanka so it’ll be another ATL month along with Unsung Heroes (UH) where we try to find ministries that future Racers might go to. Well… that’s all I’ve got for now! Talk to y’all soon!

With a grateful heart,
Sam
