My squad decided a few months ago to do a questionnaire so we could get to know each other better and then share it with our supporters.  I realized today that I never posted that blog/made it live (whoops!) So here you go…

Current Job/School(if student): just graduated with my master’s from UNC (woot woot!)

Brothers/Sisters: 1 sister, Ashton (20)

 

Favorite Things!

Color: pink

Movie: Sweet Home Alabama

Disney Movie: love the High School Musical movies and the Little Mermaid

Band/Musician: anything country (Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts..and so many more) and Needtobreathe

Book: love Nicholas Sparks (hopeless romantic at heart) and Kisses from Katie (sparked my desire to serve long term)

Food: pizza (pepperoni!)

Ice Cream Flavor: not a huge sweets person, but I’d probably say cookies and cream

Memory: my summers spent at Camp Cheerio and then the beach with my family are some of my fondest memories! Lots of card games, face paint, and childhood fun.

Random Questions!

Best Vacation: I grew up spending a week with my dad’s side of the family at Folly Beach.  Those beach trips were always the best. Surrounded by grandparents and cousins!

#1 on your bucket list: backpack across Europe..guess I am one upping this by backpacking the WORLD!

What fictional character do you relate most to? Peter Pan..i neverrrr want to grow up! I enjoy living life with a childlike mentality.

Things you like to do for fun: any athletic/sport related

Something you cannot go a day without: laughing. Enthusiasm is contagious and I can’t spend a day without enjoying something life brings.

What is the last spontaneous thing you did? A few months ago some friends and I jumped in an apt pool in the middle of winter with the temp. below freezing. It was quite an interesting and freezing experience.

Coolest place you ever been: Praque. The structures and culture were out of this world gorgeous

What is your biggest pet peeve? Smacking gum/food

Most embarrassing/crazy story you are a part of: falling down the stairs at my best friends wedding (I was walking down the aisle as a bridesmaid) was pretty embarrassing, but is now fun to laugh at.

One word that your closest friends and family would use to describe you: genuine

 

World Race Questions!

Have you ever been on an international mission trip? If so, where? Yes! I traveled to Haiti this past summer and worked with an orphanage outside of Port au Prince.

What is the most prized possession in your backpack? A visor clip that my grandmother gave me that says “travel safely”.

What are you going to miss the most? My family and friends, and the exciting life events that take place while I am gone.

One thing you HAVE to take with you? My ipod. Music is my escape and allows me to relax and decompress.

One touristy thing you want to experience on the race? Ride an elephant!

What are you most excited to experience on the race? Complete reliance on Christ and the Word.

What are you most nervous to experience on the race? Different foods. I am extremely picky, so I am nervous for what I will have to eat, but also excited to expand my palette.

What country are you most excited about serving in? All of them bring something different and make me really excited for the race.  God has been laying Cambodia on my heart a lot recently so I am excited to see how He will work in my heart there.

What ministry excites you the most to experience on the race? Orphan ministry and the chance to love for those who haven’t know a parental love, and the chance to show them a fatherly love from Heaven.

What nonessential item do you want to bring in your pack? I am thinking about bringing my baby blanket. It is a total comfort item that I take everywhere.
