Hello family and friends i know its been a wail sense my last blog, but some cool things have been happening. To start, my computer quit working right once I arrived, so that made blogging hard. One reason I am able to write to you tonight is……Tonight as i went to my room i sat down on my mat i felt compelled to try turning it on again for the 50th time. as i got it out of my bag i held it in my hand and prayed pushed the power button and it turned on. a tear fell from my face its crazy how God cares about the finest of details in our lives.

My Host Family,
The most beautiful family in Thailand. I am beyond blessed to call them my family. They have taken me in, and treated me like one of their own. I just connected with them so effortlessly even though only one member speaks good english we understand each other.

KEW!!
My Thai sister, my bestie kew is my teams translator for the first month. Right away i started asking her every question i could think of. Thankfully she didn’t mind answering them all. Kew was my rock for the first couple weeks i was always with her. We laughed, we watched thai dramas, and talked about boy. Then the day comes when kew has to leave….. i’m not going to lie i was very sad. I formed a better relationship with her then my teammates, and she just left me with my team… i know now why kew couldn’t stay because i need to lean on my team and really get to know them. You know what they are all awesome! I’m excited to see how our team continues to grow as a whole.

Teaching,
Teaching is crazy fun, but very hard at times. I have alway loved working with kids, playing games, laughing, talking to them. But teaching them english…… are you kidding me! Teach thai kids english?! The girl who took a year off from school? Who just graduated high school? The one who disliked english all 12 years of her schooling? Yep me….I’m teaching around 20 first graders. I love all my students they are filled to the brim with energy and excitement! I taught them how to high five they think its the bees knees. I leave school to a circle of kids trying to high five me as i walk away. its they coolest thing.

So first month is done, and it feels like a week! so excited to start this next month in the beautiful Thailand!

love you all lots!
