In the middle of the dump stands a building used as a church and a school.

Walking inside the building, the smell is still there.

The dirt is still there.

But JOY is there.

Tonight, we were a part of PCF’s Wednesday night youth group.

Tonight, I met Richie. He’s a “cool kid.” He has an AMAZING haircut.
He’s trendy. He’s cool.

I was dancing around with a bunch of the younger girls – teaching them how to “go bananas,” “mash potatoes,” & “rock the mullet” [thank you ILS].

I asked Richie to join us.

He refused…so, I peeled bananas & potatoes with him. I may or may not have embarrassed him. He did tell me that if the group of girls his age were not standing there, he may have done it on his own.

At the end of the service, Ron asked our WR teams to come to the front & offered an invitation for the youth to come & have us pray over them.

Richie came to me. I was able to pray for him. I was able to speak LIFE into him. I prayed for his family, his friends, strength for him. Then I prayed LIFE into him. Richie is God’s favorite. He really is. He is so loved. SO loved.

After I finished praying with Richie, I just looked over the crowd of youth. JOY, HOPE, & LOVE overflowed throughout the entire room.

I danced as I prayed over the crowd of beautiful people. God kept reminding me that these are HIS children. HE loves them so much. HE intends good for their lives. GOD IS GOOD!

For a time, I forgot I was in the middle of a dump.

Being in the presence of God, surrounded by KINGS & QUEENS can do that to you…
