There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Today is Easter Sunday! Easter is definitely one of my favorite holidays. Speaking of holidays… my mom decided it would be fun to remind me that I won't be here next Easter. Nope. Not Easter, or Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, my sister's first high school homecoming, my brother's graduation, and everything in between. Thanks, Mom.
I do have an amazing family. Yes, my brothers & sisters and I fight/argue now & then (Mom & Dad may think that's an understatement). However, we really do love each other. In fact, as I write this blog, my little sister & youngest brother are helping me by addressing envelopes. 🙂 I think it's good sibling bonding. [ps. if you get an envelope that looks like it was addressed by an 8 year old, it probably was…]
When I first decided to go on this race, I had quite a few people questioning this. "Why would you go? You're going to miss so much!" …true. I will miss things here. However, if I don't go, what will I be missing out there?
That's it. I have to go. End of story.
