Never in my life would I have ever imagined spending Christmas in Cambodia. That could have been partly because I’m not sure I knew Cambodia existed before I came on the World Race…
Just want to give you some insight into how awesome Christmas was here & show some pictures. 🙂
Christmas Eve – spaghetti dinner with the other Q team staying with us – Amber reciting a WR version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas – White Elephant gift exchange – I got some AMAZING fisherman pants – Amber’s sick-nasty stuffed animal lost an ear while being our tree topper – awesome Christmas Carol singing .

Christmas morning – woke up to a stocking full of goodies – made banana pancakes for the two teams – had a fun time in the kitchen working alongside my team/squadmates who were making bacon, eggs, & doing dishes – Christmas music galore – Jared read the Christmas story [found in Luke, not Deuteronomy] – Jenny performed a Christmas rap – team Secret Santa gift exchange – I got DR. PEPPER!!

Christmas day – our two teams met up with another Q team at their mansion for lunch. AMAZING time reuniting with my Brother Bear [Taylor] & sister Amy from my first WR team. so good to see them again – I ate waaaay too much food/may have quoted my aunts by saying “calories don’t count on Christmas” – sang more Christmas carols – took pictures with Santa.

Overall, Christmas has been amazing here. Since I cannot be home with my family & friends, I really could not have asked for a better Christmas Eve/Day. I am in awe of how blessed I truly am to be spending this year alongside my amazing Q family.

God has been showing off BIG time around here. Seriously. Besides the fact that I’ve sweat most of the day because it’s a bajillion degrees outside, I have felt so loved and so at home.
I cannot begin to express my appreciation to all of you who are reading this right now. Thank you for partnering with me along this crazy ride we call the World Race. Thank you for your love, encouragement, prayers, and everything else you have given. Without you, I would not be here today. I would not have amazing memories of Christmas in Cambodia.
Merry Christmas to all of you back in America. I hope your Christmas is full of love and blessings!
I love you!
— so… this video is a rough compilation of the Christmas carols we sang on Christmas Eve – we had all of the lights out to set the Christmas mood…which creates a very dark video. I hope you still enjoy it anyway… 🙂
