Dear Friends & Family,
It is with great excitement that we write to you today. We want to invite you into our lives, and to join us on a journey that the Lord has placed before us.
As you know, I (Susan) have been working as a 1st grade teacher and Sam on a ranch for the last few years. God has used our everyday lives to stretch us and mold us. A desire for international missions has been ignited in our hearts and we have prayed that whatever God’s plan is for us, that we would follow. He has led us to The World Race.
In July we will be partnering with Adventures In Missions (AIM) to serve as missionaries for 11 months to 11 countries around the world. Through their program we will be working alongside a small team to serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities. We will preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, teach in schools, and minister to victims of human trafficking all while sharing the love of Christ. We will live out of a backpack abandoning all that has made our lives comfortable and will learn to depend on Him as we’ve never had to.
We know we can’t make this journey alone and humbly invite you to share in this ministry. We are in the process of raising $32,500 to cover both our field expenses (food, travel, stay, and insurance) and invite your financial support. Over the 11 months we’ll travel nearly 40,000 miles. For fun, we did the math and discovered it is just about 75 cents per mile. Most of all though, we need your encouragement and prayers to keep us going.
We have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope. Financial support can be made by one – time donations or by using a monthly donation plan. If you choose to support us financially please put Sam & Susan Hansen on the memo line of your check and make it payable to Adventures In Missions. Including the response card will provide AIM with all necessary information. You can also donate online. In turn, you will receive a receipt for tax purposes as Adventures in Missions is a registered 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.
We are very excited to see how God will use us for his glory and what he will teach us through this experience. We pray that we will not only be a blessing to those we serve, but also to you.
