Dear friends and family,
I hope you are all doing well! Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. Whether I get to see you every week, or we haven’t crossed paths for quite some time, I am thankful for every last one of you. I wanted to let you know about some new things that are going on in my life. As some of you may know, I went on my first mission trip to the Dominican Republic in 2007. Since that trip, I have had a heart for missions and helping those who cannot help themselves. With that, I returned to the DR in 2008 and again in 2010.
This past May, I felt God calling me back to the mission field. A month later, I was told about a program through Adventures in Missions called The World Race — an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. After a lot of prayer and deliberation, God made it very clear that I needed to abandon all the comforts of home and leave everything behind to spread His word, starting in July 2013! The countries I will be traveling to are: Romania, Ukraine, Ireland, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia!
While on the World Race, my team and I will serve along side churches and ministries in local communities to achieve one simple goal: Love God, Love People.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! While I will be doing many things to fundraise on my own, my prayer is that you would also consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. Here is a breakdown of what I need financially:
-I need to raise $15,000 in order to go on the World Race.
-I need to raise (about) $3,000 for everything else.
I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others next year. I hope to be a blessing to not only those I serve, but to you as well. I would be honored to go as your representative to bring the love of Jesus to nations around the world. I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry!
Joyfully,
Samantha
