Okay Folks, while we wrapped up the trek some time ago I’ve been struggling with finding a way to finish it up in blog form. So I’ve decided that pictures will do so much more than my clumsy words. Enjoy these few snapshots of our journey (all pictures courtesy of Team |Undefined| and Team Gladiators).
PS: I’m throwing in so whimsical commentary.

Playing with kiddos on the top of the mountain we just climbed. Doesn’t get much better!

A hard days trek deserves a power stance photo.

Our teams with guides and the locals.

The first night we ate in, on the floor.

Talk about hospitality they gave us hot tea (LOADED with sugar).

Joe standing like the Colossus (of Rhodes). Plus, see that girl in front of him? That is the pastor’s 5 year old daughter. She basically led us up the mountain.

Can we all appreciate the way these people are seated? Believe it or not, this is pretty typical.

Ugali (cornmeal dish), Curry Chicken, and Pumpkin leaves (similar to greens).

If you’re gonna trek, be zealous!

Looking out the doorway of our third single room church.

A glimpse at our Saturday morning worship service

Mid trek ramen noodle snack. Spicy and fantastic.

Church Number 4, sleeping on the floor.

Children’s worship service. They gave an offering. Take a moment to think about that.

The views! The just never get old.

We survived the trek.

We packed at least 17 folks in this tuk tuk. I rode on top. 🙂

We got to worship together. It doesn’t matter if you can’t understand the spoken language. Worship is a language of the heart.

A glimpse at where we stayed before and after the trek. This is also a church.
Lastly, this is a thing.
Here is a video created by Jackelyn Mead (Team Leader of Team Gladiators). Helping to summarize the trek.
Finally, so much has happened in Nepal! We’re leaving early Friday morning for debrief and ministry in India. I’m going to try to share more of what else we’ve been doing this month soon so stay posted! Thank you for your continued prayers! Much love,
Sam
