We are making our way to launch. This means there are only days (DAYS) until we leave for Nepal. Our bags are packed; we’ve waved our loved ones ‘goodbye’.

Leaving is a part of life. Everyone has a moment in their lives when (in some way) they go. Somewhere along the way doubt likes to stop by and pay us a visit.

Doubt asks clearly:

Do you have what it takes?

Do you really think you can do this?

What if this happens? What if that goes wrong?

It can be crippling. You don’t have to leave the country to encounter doubt. Doubt finds plenty of places to try to enter our lives. Time and time again, doubt calls our authority into question. Want to know the truth?

Doubt sounds pretty right. Who am I? When doubt says “You won’t be able to do this.” It’s hard to disagree.

But then again, doubt can and only wants to see us. Doubt wants to make it seem like it is the WHOLE WORLD against me. Have you felt this? Do you know doubt’s questions? Is doubt staying in your guest room, eating food out of your fridge and planning on moving into your new addition? Maybe it’s time to have a sit down talk. Here’s what I’m telling doubt.

I am not alone.

I am not alone.

I am not alone.

If it’s just me, doubt’s right. But doubt is wrong because doubt doesn’t know my friends, my Savior.

Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

When you accept Christ, you welcome His Spirit into your life. He is always with you. Wherever you go, He is there. By offering the intimacy of His Spirit, Jesus is offering us His authority. Have you taken it?

It is time to stop being alone. It is time to welcome intimacy. It is time to take authority. It is time to kick doubt to the curb. It is time to live and expect more than what can be done with human hands.

It’s time to LAUNCH…

And I don’t have any extra room in my pack (my life) for doubt. Do you?
