Today I felt an over whelming desire to start writing, which is something I haven’t done in a very long time. There was something on my heart and I had to get it out. So I would like to share with you what I came up with.
Someone asked me today, what’s got you down? I lifted my arms as I spun around. Do you not see the here and now? Children going hungry and veterans sleeping on the ground? He shrugged and said what can you do? Well, it’s 9 AM and that’s gut check number two.
My heart was heavy, tears fell from my eyes I said I have an answer that might take you by surprise.
See, I was created with potential and I was crafted by a king. My God set a preplanned purpose, gave love to you and me. I never have to question my Fathers grace for me, and maybe my purpose is to set the captives free!
He said you’re just a kid with your head up in the clouds and when you come back to reality take a look around.
Well, I never saw that man again but there’s something he should know ages just a number no one ever really sees and in the bigger scheme of things no comparison of you to me.
“And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.” Mark 10:13-16
We have all been called to have a child-like faith. What does this mean to you??
