“Seek what sets your soul on fire”. A quote that has been said for many years and posted on almost every social media. But rarely are people lucky enough to find something that truly “sets their soul on fire” at the young age of 17. Yet, here I am, 17, turning 18 in January, and I have found that one thing that makes me feel ignited. Passion, boldness, adventure, and love are words that don’t even begin to describe the journey that I have ahead of me.
Hello everyone, my name is Sadie Mishler and I am from Louisville, Kentucky. I have been given the most life changing opportunity, to become a part of a trip with Adventures in Missions called World Race: Gap Year. I will be traveling to three different continents over the course of nine months in order to spread the love of God. The route I have chosen to take is route 6, where I will be going to Swaziland, Nicaragua, and Thailand. Mission work is a passion of mine and has been since I was little. Over the past year, God has told me repeatedly that this is what I am supposed to do. God wants me to go and just love people around the world whenever they might not feel loved, and I cannot wait to experience this.
To get to know me a little better, let me tell you a little about myself. I am currently a senior in High School at Christian Educational Consortium and I attend dual credit courses at Jefferson County Community Technical College. I love makeup and hair, in fact, I have changed my hair color many times from dark brown to light pink to gray! I have a bullet journal where express my creative side with different drawings and calligraphy styles. Music is a huge passion of mine… well, listening to music is, I can’t sing or play any instruments no matter how hard I try! I love theatre and kids. I work for my local arts center as a stage manager and acting teacher for elementary school kids. My heart is so full for what this next year will bring to me and I can’t wait to keep you updated!
