1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
I just thought I would share a little bit about what I’m feeling today…
As I read that verse, I can’t help but to be in total awe of God’s mercy and love. I’m feeling so thankful today, that Jesus loves me so much. He called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light! It doesn’t get much better than that. It’s something that we all have a head knowledge of- that God sent his son to die on the cross so that we could be forgiven- but when you sit back and really let all that soak into your mind, it will never cease to amaze you. I could think about God’s grace from now until the end of eternity and it will never get old. He is so worthy of our endless praise!
I’m so excited thinking about God’s eternal presence in my life. Even though sometimes it can feel easy to get caught up in thinking about material things, it’s so refreshing to take a deep breath and remember that the ONE thing I cannot live without is the one thing that can never be taken from me. It’s so good!
If you’re reading this today, please take a minute to pray for me. Tonight I am sharing my testimony and why I feel called to go on this mission trip with my church’s youth group. I get really nervous speaking in front of people but I’m praying that God will lead me to say what I need to say and calm my nerves.
