As this trip is getting closer and closer, I’m finding that there are SO many things popping into my head that I feel the need to pray for. My financial situation, my teammates, my health, my paralyzing fear of spiders…the list goes on.
I’ll be going to 11 countries and I had an idea today that I should find 11 people to commit to praying for me, in a specific country.
To pray for the time I spend there to be used fully to do God’s will.
To pray for my health while I’m in that country.
To pray that I will find comfort in God’s presence when I’m inevitably feeling homesick.
To pray for the people I will meet and to soften their hearts to the Spirit.
And to pray for whatever God puts on your heart. The countries I’ll be in are
Dominican Republic
Haiti
Honduras
Guatemala
Malawi
Zimbabwe
Mozambique
Philippines
Thailand
Burma
Cambodia
There are so many people already praying for me and I am so thankful for each one. But this isn’t a request to say a prayer a few times for me. I’m asking for 11 people to make a commitment to take time out of each day to pray specifically for me in a specific country before I get there and while I’m in that country. The countries (to my knowledge) are in order of our traveling so whoever chooses Cambodia is a trooper 😉 Please ask God if this is something He wants you to do and message me on Facebook or text me if you’d like to commit.
I haven’t decided what yet, but I will be making 11 trinkets with a different country written on each one to give to you if you want to pray for that country and for me. It will be a “thank you” gift and a helpful reminder 🙂 Thanks for reading!
