Hey everyone, I have some fantastic news!
Just six short days ago I posted a blog sharing with you all about our squads final approaching deadline at the end of the month. At that time I needed over $2,000 in order for my spot to be secure so that I can finish this race and I have incredible news!!! With all of your love and support, we did it! I found out today that I am fully funded! Which means that I get to keep meeting and loving more incredible people like these two sweet babies….
Last year around this time I was applying for the trip and to be honest, that number, $14,287, which is the total that we needed to raise, was intimidating. I know that God provides and I know that His plans are perfect, but I am human and I’m still learning how to walk in those truths. Even still, God in His graciousness provided and you all had a hand in it whether it was financially, through prayer, or encouraging words via Facebook or email.
We all play an important roll and I am blessed and honored to be serving the Lord and shining His love with you all. What we might be physically doing moment by moment might be different, but we are part of one body and we couldn’t function properly without each other.
Now, although I am fully funded, there are still some things where your help is still incredibly beneficial so please don’t stop reading just yet….
Here are the areas where your love and support are still needed:
1) Your prayers and words of love are always uplifting, please never stop those.
2) There are still girls on my team who are not fully funded (Sandra Santiago, Cassandra Rios, Benita Townsend, and Olivia Hess). Please consider helping them meet their financial deadlines as well. You can find the links to each of their blogs on the left side of this page. You could also share their blogs on your Facebook for others who might be interested in supporting international missions to read and potentially partner with them financially.
3) There have been and will continue to be opportunities for racers to help behind the scenes by financially supporting people who we meet along the way as well as personal expenses such as replacement clothing when mine are worn thin, hygiene products, and extra food when needed that I currently pay for out of money that I saved up before coming on the race. Although I am okay and God keeps providing in incredible ways, if you would like to help in those areas at all, please either leave a comment on this blog or send me a private email ([email protected]) and we can further discuss the necessary details. It is important to note that additional money raised should not be sent to my AIM account as it is inaccessible there. Any additional funds should be deposited into my personal account.
4) Finally, please keep following me as I continue on this amazing journey. Before I ever truly knew Christ I never could have imagined walking in the freedom, love, and confidence that I currently walk in and He keeps telling me that this is just the beginning.
I would love to continue sharing what He continues to unfold before me with you all through continual correspondences whether it be through my blog or on Facebook. It is my hope that through my experiences and lessons learned that you would be encouraged and inspired and that as we are encouraged by each other, together we will learn more about the height, length, width, and depth of the radical love of our Father.

Papa, I thank you so much that you don’t expect us to be perfect. I thank you that you don’t see our faith as horribly lacking but rather as an incredible opportunity to blow our minds with your goodness. Thank you, Father, for Your constant provision. Your plan for each one of us is perfect. Please Lord, wreck our hearts with revelations of Your love and when things seem hard or we get discouraged, may we all be quick to tighten our grips to Your hand and continue marching forward. Teach us how to surrender our fears for hope in Your promises. <3
