Hey Honduras,
I really miss you. Thank you for being such a loving host. When I first stepped foot on your soil and began to learn about all of the danger that was around, I was nervous about you…but then God peeled away the fear and I saw you for who you really are. You’re filled with beauty and hearts that are hungry for Jesus Christ.

After I realized the truth about you, the eyes of my heart opened and it said, “Oh, there you are, I’ve been looking for you,” and all of my doubts faded away.
It was like my heart found something that it had been looking for for a very long time.
You are home to people who are looking for meaning, identity, and who are looking for some sort of control in an environment that seems so out of control. It was my pleasure to share with them for the month that they are all worth dying for, no matter where they have been or where they might go. I loved letting them know that with Christ, even those things that seem so out of control can be used for a beautiful purpose. It was an honor and a privilege to share with their thirsty hearts the Living Water that I know.

After I got to really know you, I could see God’s hands working everywhere. I could see hearts being awakened to His promises.

And Honduras, I hope that every single person who doesn’t truly know Christ yet would know that He waits for them, and He will always wait for them. That He loves them, and will always love them.
I’ll keep praying that despite the perceived dangers that are all around, that they would all be brave enough to choose Jesus Christ, to walk with Him, to trust Him.
And I’ll keep praying that even those who try to control and rule with violence and fear would be overtaken by HIS unmatched and perfect goodness and love, and come to a place of surrender.
He sings over you, Honduras (Zephaniah 3:17). Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). He is patient and gentle, but a victorious and hope filled life awaits you, so turn towards Him soon (Romans 13:11).
Te quiero, Honduras. It was a blessing, an honor, and a privilege to serve you.

Nos vemos <3
