For a few days last week my whole squad was together in Uganda for a short recoup time before leaving Africa and starting in on Asia. We camped at a beautiful, lakeside facility and enjoyed the exotic birds and trees and the vistas of lake Victoria. It was very peaceful and so good to be with everyone again.
And it was there that our faithful squad leaders, Sarah Schrack and Lucas Tillman, announced who they would be raising up as our new squad leaders. Kevin Buzzie, Mike Desmond, and my own wonderful team leader, Andrea Garcia will be leading our squad from here on out. I have full confidence that they will do a fantastic job. I’m a little sad to be losing Andrea as my team leader, but I’ll still be seeing her around.

As for new teams, the only one from my old team who is now on my new team is Emily Chan. She’s a good friend and I’m happy to still be with her.
My new team leader is Tom Hoffman. He’s an awesome man of God and I’m excited to be working with him.
Another great man of God on my new team is Stephan Sloan. He is also from Ohio and I can’t wait to get to know him better.
Sarah Croaker is a phenomenal artist and I hope some of her talent will rub off on me this month.
Joshua Robinson I feel like I already know fairly well since I rode down to training camp with him in May.
And last but not least is Meagan Czerwinski. I’m loving getting to know this beautiful woman of God better.
Please be praying for this team to quickly bond together in spirit so we can serve God without distraction.

And I just have to tell you that Scott Cangemi, from my old team, is now raised up as one of the new team leaders. I’m so proud of him and I know he’ll do a great job.

And now, after a rout change and 50 something hours of traveling, I’m now in the Philippines! Surprise! It’s kind of a surprise to me to since they only announced it to the squad right before we boarded our flight out of Uganda. Oh well, that just how life goes. I’d never been to Thailand or the Philippines before, so it doesn’t make a huge difference to me which one we go to. But I must say the place we are staying at for the time being is beautiful! I think I really like Manilla. And in particular, KIM ministries whose compound we spent the night at. However, my team and another team will be sent out to another island in the next day or so to our actual ministry site. I’m not sure what we’ll be doing there yet, but that’s typical. God is still good, and I’m feeling great today!
