Week One.
We’ve been out of the States for exactly 168 hours, and I already feel at home.
This week has been so impactful by just meeting the kids, the community of workers, the city, and the love my Squad shares.
I’ve decided to agree to go out of my comfort zone and always saying “yes”, which has already made me do things I never thought I would do. Being forced (to attempt) to speak Spanish, jumping off a not-so steady plank of wood with a rope swing(and then be recorded for News 6, that’s right we are now famous in Nicaragua), and just saying “Yes”, has already changed my experience here.
I wanted to come here making an impact on others, but I’m the one who is being impacted.
I’ve only been here for one week. And I know there is so much more that God is going to do.
