Hiya! My name is Rylee Prenatt and I am absolutely so excited for this adventure to get to share Jesus’ love with the nations! I am 18 years old and live in Pennsylvania!
Since this is a “get to know me blog”, I figured I would do a 10 Fun Facts about me! sooooo here we go!
1. My biggest passion is photography, which actually started because I bought a camera to make Youtube videos at the age of 15(still going strong with that too). I absolutely love to be able to create stories, and capture people’s beauty to show them how lovely they truly are.
2. Growing up, I used to break bones left and right, therefore was not allowed what so ever to touch any type of ball(okay maybe exaggerating a bit), so I had to find something else to fill my day. That’s when musical theatre and all things music came into my life. So I picked up guitar (and of course, ukulele, and singing duh)!
3. I like to consider myself a creative person, however, I cannot, TO SAVE MY LIFE, create anything that has to do with my hands. Can’t draw, can’t paint, etc. That’s just not something Jesus has placed on my heart, and I’ll totally okay with that.
4. I named my cat Elvis Parsley at the age of six. I truly was convinced that was how you pronounced his name. A few years later, I learned it was not. And if you are curious if he is still living, he is still living his best life(by sleeping and eating).
5. My original plan after high school was to pursue esthetic’s and nail tech. After doing my first wedding, I came to realization that it was just not for me, and backed out two days before school started.
6. AFTER, I backed out of school, I felt Jesus telling me to move out. So in 13 days, I moved out. To a completely new city. It was crazy. But it has been the best decision of my life. I’ve gotten so many opportunities to pursue my photography, met so many incredible people, and found an amazing church community.
7. I currently have 4 chapsticks in my pockets.
8. I love adventure and all things new. However, I’ve only ever left the country once and that was Canada. So yeah. I’M SO EXCITED to go on the World Race. And yes! That means this is even my first missions trip!
9. I consider myself a minimalist and am doing a 365 day challenge where I don’t buy clothes for an entire year! Super exciting, but super challenging at times. I love being able to express myself with the clothes I wear, but have found that I really don’t need the things I think I need, and to be happy with what I have.
10. Jesus is my best friend! He has provided for me in ways that are not even comprehensible, His mercies for me (and everyone) are so new every day and His love has been such a faithful reminder of how worth it I am. He has calmed every anxiety, answers prayers faithfully, and has given me a peace that is indescribable. I am so thankful for this live I live and the opportunity I have been given to serve globally. I love Him with my whole heart. He is so so good.
