Greetings from Indonesia! This is my last country and my emotions are all over the place. Last month I heard the song, “Its a Small World”pretty frequently. The lyrics got me thinking about how small the world actually is. Seriously take a look at the lyrics…
It’s a world of laughter
A world of tears
It’s a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There’s so much that we share
That it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small, small world
There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means
Friendship to every one
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It’s a small world after all
It’s such a simple song, but so true. I have been all over the world now and the truth is, everyone laughs, and everyone cries. The difference in people is what makes them laugh or cry.
In a lot of these countries it doesn’t take much to make these people happy, yet Americans would cry if they were living the way some of these people live.
There is so much I could say about the lyrics of this song, but I want to keep it simple.
Think about what truly matters in life.
Be content with less, heck be content with only Jesus!
Love Jesus, and love people.
This world is too small to be complaining about what we don’t have. We need less of everything and more of Jesus.
