I wanted to share a story with y’all. If you read my last blog you’ll know that my relationship with Jesus is more intimate than ever before. And crazy things have been happening since the day the “Tiger” was unleashed. I will share stories throughout the week but this one is my favorite.

Yesterday as I was boarding the plane I was searching for 2 open seats so I could sit next to my teammate, and we could talk about training and how awesome it was. God had other plans. There were no seats available next to each other, so I just sat in the first open seat next to an elderly couple. I was kinda bummed because I had be praying for opportunities to share the love of Jesus in the airport but nothing caught my eye. Plus I was bummed because I wanted to sit with my teammate and talk about training.

As I sat there feeling like I missed out on opportunities the couple began talking to me. Just your basic southern small talk at first. Then they asked what I had been doing in Georgia. I told them about my trip and they were blown away! We talked about Jesus and shared life stories the whole plane ride! Turns out they go to Chuck Swindolls church in Dallas. They were amazing people.

As I listened to the ladies wonderful life stories, her husband handed me a napkin. Written on this napkin was their address, email and names. They explained to me that they love what I am doing and want to follow my journey! So in return I wrote down my blog info and name. As I talked with David and Jean I felt an overwhelming yet refreshing sense of peace from the lord. God was reminding me, through them, that He is with me always.

Jean was wearing a red and white shirt with anchors on it. Call me crazy but I saw Jesus all over that shirt! I know it’s weird, but I did! And God told me that He is the anchor to my soul. The plane ride was amazing, we laughed a lot and talked, shook hands and parted ways. I saw them again at baggage claim and introduced them to my family.

I said one more goodbye to them as Jean insisted I give her a hug. I nearly cried when I hugged her because I could feel the love of Jesus in this couple. I will never forget David and Jean. I am almost convinced that I was speaking with angels on that plane. I’m not sure if I’ll ever see them again but I will always have the napkin to remember that beautiful moment.

David & Jean if you are reading this know that I love you both. Your stories/advice meant a lot to me. And I am keeping that napkin in my bible. God bless you both!
