Run your race.
I absolutely love that Paul describes our life on earth as a race — this has always stood out to me. I personally see the Christian race as a relay race. I didn’t start my portion of the race until 23 years old. Since this time, I have been acutely aware of the fact that my life is brief, a mere vapor in the wind. As a result, I am determined to run my race as well as I can so that when I pass the baton to the next runner, I can know that I’ve given them the best head start that I can.
Because that’s what it’s all about. It’s about paving the way for a generation to come. A generation that is going to start their race with momentum and as a result run so much farther and faster than I could ever run myself. My hope is that by diligently training and setting a fast pace for my teammates to keep up with, that I might encourage at least one other to do the same, to push the limit, to set a faster pace than me. My prayer is that we continue to run faster and faster until the Kingdom of God rules in it’s entirety on this earth.
I will not be distracted by the things of this world and miss out on the opportunity to make a difference while I’m here.
My race began at 23 years old, and continues today at 26. And my race happens to be leading me around the world on something called the World Race. In October 2018, I will be embarking on a journey with a group of 40-50 amazing people around the world to share the love of Christ and bring the Kingdom of God to hurting nations. We will invest time into 1 country each month for 11 months — 11 countries in 11 months.
I have no clue what God is going to do on this trip, but I do know this: God is going to move! And you don’t want to miss out on being a part of it!
While not everyone is able to go travel the world on an 11 month mission trip, you can be a part of what God is going to do. You can pray! You can donate financially! You can subscribe for blog updates! You can rejoice with us as I share testimonies of what God is doing in each country! Let’s build the Kingdom together!
This has been my prayer for the last year, and I ask that you would pray the same thing with me today:
“God, I will go wherever you tell me to go. I will do whatever you tell me to do. I will say whatever you tell me to say. Period.”
Remember: surrender equals power in the Kingdom of God.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 – 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Thank you so much for your support! Talk to you soon!
