Evangelism is so simple — it’s loving people. And loving people starts with saying “hi”.

If you are someone who gets nervous when you even hear the word evangelism, it’s probably because of false assumptions about what evangelism actually is.

Let’s clear some things up real quick!

Here are 3 keys points to remember for keeping evangelism simple:

1. Just say “Hi”.

– Care about the person and don’t make them an assignment. LOVE them.

2. Don’t be ashamed of who you are and speak from the heart.

– People are not offended by you saying you love Jesus, typically. More often they are offended when you try to force them to love Jesus. If God isn’t forcing people, we shouldn’t either. Say what’s in your heart and don’t be ashamed that it’s there!

3. Stay sensitive to Holy Spirit.

– Holy Spirit is the best evangelist ever — way better than you are. He loves that person so much that He is willing to help you in loving them. If your motive is love, He’ll be right there by your side to help you with that. Let Him take the lead.

REMEMBER: One sows, one waters, and God beings the increase. Don’t focus so much on getting them to believe what you do; focus on depositing seeds of truth and love into their life.
