You have to know that you have the right to approach God.
The whole reason Jesus came was to make a way to the Father. Jesus didn’t die to make you righteous so that you would question whether or not God accepts you in His presence. Jesus died and made you the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus so that you would KNOW that you can stand before God holy, blameless, and above reproach.
God is well aware of your short comings that may cause you to shrink back from Him. That’s why He sent His Son! So that you would never shrink back from Him! If you shrink back from Him because you’ve fallen short in times past or struggled in times present, how do you ever expect to change so that you don’t have to struggle anymore? God is the one who changes people. So if you want change, you must believe the finished work of Christ, believe you are righteous, so that you can come before God with boldness in time of mercy and need.
So let’s all stop gripping onto our past and our struggles and let’s get a grip on righteousness, so that we may come before the only One who can actually change us and transform us into the very thing we were created for, His image.
Bless y’all! Jesus died for you and it was a great joy for Him to do so! He loves you very much!
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
II Corinthians5:21NKJV
“And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.”
Colossians1:21-23NKJV
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews4:15-16NKJV
