Hey everyone!
I’ll be posting a birthday blog tomorrow on the importance of “getting in the game”, but real quick I wanted to pop on here and give you an update.
This month we are doing something called ATL (Ask The Lord). So, essentially we just ask the LORD where to go, what to do, who to talk to, and what to say, and then we do that! Super fun! And actually this is just normal Christianity.
Anybody and everybody who is a follower of Jesus technically should be doing ATL every day. If Jesus truly is LORD over our lives, then He should be dictating what we do each day. Lord means ruler. He’s the one in charge if you are truly a Christian. And trust me, it’s better when He’s in charge :). Jesus WILLS freedom, healing, salvation, peace, joy, contentment, and abundant life. You want Him in charge if you want those things!
ATL’s model is actually what my coming to Christ looked like. Almost 4 years ago, I walked out of my place of work (shout out to Old School Bagel Cafe!) to my car, and was sitting by myself in the parking lot. I proceeded to tell Jesus that I would do whatever He told me to do, say whatever He told me to say, and go wherever He told me to go; because, I trusted that He wants what is best for me and knows me better than I know myself. And this is how I’ve lived life ever since. Jesus is my leader and He’s in charge.
If you at all see anything in me that you like or admire, I can guarantee you that it’s from living this way, surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus. And anything you see in me, you can have too.
Complete surrender is NORMAL Christianity. Anything less and you’re settling for a life you were never created for. Please don’t settle. You were made for abundant life. You were made for eternal life. And that will come when you completely surrender. You must die so that you can live.
If you are not a Christian, I encourage you to take a leap of faith today and give it all to Jesus. Even if you’re already a Christian, evaluate and see if you are all in. If not, give it all to Him today. He is worthy and will not let you down!
I’ve never known a person as amazing as Jesus. He’s the best friend, leader, brother, King, Lord, and Savior anyone could ask for. And I highly encourage you have relationship with Him. Trust me, He’s ready to have a relationship if you are. Give it all to Jesus today! Don’t delay something so great!
Love y’all! Talk to you tomorrow!
