I was just looking at a note that my brother wrote about 2 years ago. On the side of this news letter my Aaron put some statistics about Christians and the bible. I am not sure where he got the stats from but I would say that these stats are pretty accurate judging from me talking to people about God on a daily basis. So here you go…. These are the stats about Christians and the Bible.
9% of Christians have a Biblical Worldview
35% of born-again Christians do not read the Bible at all
Among those who say they read the Bible, the vast majority only read it during the one hour they attend church each Sunday morning
Today, basic Christian truths are virtually unknown to a majority in this nation. Research indicates that if current trends of Biblical continue, by 2040 the Bible will be a thing of the past for most people who claim to be Christ-followers
