Today we found out more information about all the different ministries we are able to work at. After finding out all of the ministries we could be a part of we had to pick two of those ministries that we felt we would do well at. This was not a hard task because there are about 20 to choose from and because I have worked at home depot for the last 5 years I decided to help out with the construction of the library they are building. Right now we are working on the second floor of the library. When it is completed the library will be 4 stories. So the first thing I got to do was participate in a bible study that the construction workers have after lunch. That was pretty interesting because the bible study is in their language so I was sitting there praying to God asking him how am I going to connect with these people? I felt like he told me don’t worry about the language barrier at all becuase you will connect with them. After the bible study we all went back up to the library and I got to paint all of the beams in the room. I thought that was the perfect job for me because God moved me to the paint department for the last nine months I worked at home depot and taught me all about painting. The first coat is down and the second is coming tomorrow. While I was painting I was able to share a little of my testimony with the other guy that was painting. He know English pretty well. It turns out that we have some things in common. He was talking to me and told me a team of world racers came here a couple years ago and made a huge impact on him and his family. We also got to sing a couple of worship songs while we were working. Tomorrow when I go back to work I am going to teach him a couple new songs. He is a believer in Jesus and is living his life for christ.
