It’s time for my update for Romania! Romania is an amazing country that I enjoy very much. God has given me a unquenchable joy from Him every single day that I am very thankful for. I have experienced culture shock in a great way this month. There are no more people honking there horns just because in India people honk there horns 24/7), people drive on the right side of the road just as Americans do, there is a huge grocery store with good food within a few minutes walk from our hostel, we are not being stared at anymore (because we blend in with the white people), people actually understand where we come our concept of how things work, etc. I could go on for a long time about the things that I am enjoying about this country and enjoying about being out of some other countries but I will end there.

For our ministry this month, Team Zahar has partnered with living hope church for our 10th month on the world race. Our contact, Christi, is amazing man who cares about his community, the people who attend the church make us feel very welcomed and the scenery is beautiful here. The past couple of weeks we have been helping a group of other missionaries fix up the church during the day and the guys have been doing soccer ministry on Tuesday nights. We have been painting since we arrived here and just finished that project a couple days ago. I was excited to do some physical labor and also see the fruits of my labor as soon as we finished! Yesterday, we cleaned the back patio off to make it more presentable for the community. Christi is wanting to turn the back of the church into a park for the community so the church can build relationships with there community. The plan right now is for us to install a sprinkler system then plant seeds for grass. However, we have been looking at the supplies for the underground sprinkler system and found that it cost more than the church wants to spend on it. Therefore, we may go a different route with the sprinkler system. After all of that is done Christi is talking about building a basketball court for the kids at the end of the yard. So we may be helping with that project as well.

The ministry we have been doing is very flexible. Christi is a very understanding guy so he wants us to be able to do ministry that we enjoy. He has allowed the girls to go play with little kids a few days during the week which is amazing because Bridget and Ashley really enjoy being with kids. Oh and I almost forgot! On Saturdays Team Zahar, a few of the church members, and the other missionaries put together activities for the kids in the community. I am not sure if you have looked at my face book but if you have you probably have noticed me in a clown outfit. This ministry is where the “clowning around takes place! Last Saturday Clint and I dressed up as clowns and attempted to do some clown tricks. I found out I am not to good at juggling and I can’t do flips but the kids enjoyed watching us attempt to do tricks. During this program, the kids worship for about 45 minutes then we either show them a video or do a craft with them. This week we will be teaching them about Joseph so we will be making a craft with them and Team Zahar will act out a skit explaining the story of Joseph.

So far that is the ministry we have and will be doing. I am also spending more and more time with God. The closer I get to Him causes me to desire even more of Him. During some of my time I have spent with Him God has been revealing things he wants for my future. I am excited to see His plan be carried out while I follow Him. I trust that God knows exactly what He wants for me and I am willing to listen to and follow Him with my whole self. Please pray that I will be obedient to the Lords will while I continue to follow Him where He is leading me. Wink
