70 days ago we asked you to pray for the three refugees we bonded with in Bosnia. The three that said goodbye to Islam and hello to Jesus.
We asked you to pray that they could make it out of the camp in Bosnia and into Germany, their final destination in their search for freedom and a new start at life!
70 days later and guess what?
2 OF THEM ARE IN GERMANY!
This is unheard of, we talked to refugees who had been trying to get to Germany for years with no luck, they were repeatedly sent back, imprisoned or beat at each border crossing.
Benham and Medhi are in their “promised land”, they made it! Benham has been messaging Ryan about churches in their area; Ryan did some research and has been emailing a pastor there to make sure they feel welcomed and have an easy time settling in.
I cant stop smiling typing this because I’m so excited for them. Can God do big things or what?! It’s not clear why the second Medhi didn’t make it with them…so lets keep praying together that he does. He also has a wife and two kids back home that are waiting for him to make it to Germany before they start the trek to meet him so pray for them too; they’ve gone a long time without their dad/ husband around.
About 3 days after we left Bosnia an Italian Newspaper went to the same 2 camps we spent time at to make a documentary and interviewed the very people we were just working with!
If you have some time to watch, copy paste the link below into your browser to get a better picture of what the camps looked like and to hear a few of the stories we heard. They interviewed our friend Behnam, look for him in the pink tee shirt, he’s the first one talking.
