I want to start off by saying that I am doing really well! I have been for at least a week, maybe more. Praise God!
A few days after we returned to Antigua from Puerto Barrios, we had a big team meeting where I spilled the beans on where I was at, and we just hashed out some stuff as a team. Either that night or the next morning, I made a list of 4 things that I was going to pray myself every day.
- That God would
use me today for his glory and his work. - That God would give me
confidence and strength…especially when it comes to being a leader on this team. - That I would continue to
die to myself and to my own feelings and desires, and that I would see and do things God’s way. - That my thoughts would be on
Godly things.
God has been answering some of those prayers, especially number 2 and 4…as I am very much at peace, and content.
Since we returned from Puerto Barrios, we have been staying at the Iglesia Vida Y Fe. (Life and Faith Church…I think) Sleeping on the floor…but we have a bathroom, and the pastor wasn’t charging us a thing!

And then, right in front of the church is a coffee house called, Higher Grounds, that’s run by YWAM. We’ve gotten to know the YWAMers pretty well…and they ended up giving us free access to their kitchen and shower! The generosity behind that is from Ginnie. I totally should have a picture of her, but I don’t, but we have spent some time with her over a couple of dinners…and she is just great! So, thank you Ginnie for all you have done for us!
