We flew from Managua, Nicaragua to Panama City, Panama; then on to Lima, Peru. We didn’t race during all that, just because it’s tiring and we were all on the same flights anyway.

So the next day we had a race throughout Lima. Our contacts here, Bob & Becky Cooley (AIM missionaries) organized this race and it was going from place to place througout the city. We ran, we taxied, we ate some cow’s heart, we swam out into the ocean as part of a relay, we went into some catacombs, we took a carriage ride through a big plaza and then ended up at a big cross on the top of a mountain.

WE FINISHED SECOND!! Josh, Annie, Joy and me raced for our team. (FYI-clinton is technically not on our small team anymore, but floating around amongst all of the A-teams)

here are some pictures of it:

One thing we had to find on one of the clues

we got second place!!

Amy walking backwards down the hill

After we got to the bottom of the hill that the cross was on…our bus wasn’t there yet so we ended up playing a pick-up soccer game with some local kids. We actually beat them, but the coolest part was that after the game Chad called them all in and completely shared the gospel with them and prayed for some of them to receive Christ. 🙂

Larcomar…the really nice part of Lima. Right on the ocean.

IT WAS A GREAT RACE YO!!!
