All of squad A & all of squad B met at Samuel’s riverside property on Friday (Feb 2) until early Sunday morning.
Debrief is a time for all to “Play Hard” and spend some quality time with God, catch up on sleep, meet with friends, meet with our discipleship partners and have some community worship and story sharing time. Just a time to unload from last month, recharge and get ready for the next month.

Everyone went over to Misol-ha for 4 hours on Friday afternoon. Misol-ha is a beautiful waterfall that the WRers visited last year. It’s a great place to just lay on the rocks and read or nap. There’s a big area for swimming and cliffs to jump off. There’s also a really cool cave to go into.

Both James’s and Telfer shaved off their beards/gotees and just looked awesome.

On Saturday, I went to a neighboring village that Morgan had visited earlier that week. When she was there she ended up meeting a guy that translated the Bible into the local language, Ch’ol. She wanted to go back while we were still in the area, and I told her that I was willing to go and take some pictures of it. So, her, Jen and I went over there and ended up finding him and talking for a little bit. He has parkinson’s so he is in a wheelchair, but his name is Timoteo…and everything about the guy says wisdom. It was pretty cool to be able to meet him. And I said to Morgan as we were walking back to Samuel’s, ‘How many people can say they’ve met the person who first translated the Bible into a language?’ I mean seriously! Super cool. I’m pretty sure she has blogged about Timoteo already, so check that out to hear more about it. But here are some pictures.

Morgan praying with Timoteo.
Also, on the way back to Samuel’s…we had an entourage of 5 boys walking with us. Morgan had already met Peter, a 12 year old Christian, but we didn’t know the others. But as we walked Morgan poured out Jesus on them, especially Peter. She encouraged him in Christ and shared with all of them how we need not be afraid of anything if we have Jesus in us. It was really cool to watch, and kudos to you Morgan.

Peter is the one closest to Morgan.
STAY TUNED….finally I will post some pictures of the race and Antigua. (most of them are actually already in PICTURES YO.) And I will give you an update of what we’ve been doing for the last few days and what the current plans are for the rest of the month.
