So what is all this.. what is The World Race?
The World Race is a program of Adventures in Missions (AIM). It is an eleven month long missions trip to eleven different countries (#11n11) to serve “the least of these.” It facilitates discipleship through the process of discovering the abundant life He promised. It births partnerships with ministries around the world, while requiring Luke 10 like faith. It calls Christians out of their comfort zones and gives them exposure to what God is doing in the world. It enforces biblical principles and reminds us, it is not about us but kingdom advancement.
OK… but who are you going with?
I will be traveling with a group of about 40 amazing people. This large group of people is called my squad (Family). once we arrival in each country, we will split up into teams (around 10 people). Each team will be doing different ministry work throughout the month.

Where are you going and what will you be doing???
Our route will take us to: Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. (5 months in Asia!)
What we will be doing in each country is a mystery until we get there. It will vary depending on the ministry each team is sent to. Some common possibilities are: Teaching English, construction, building relationships with orphans, praying for the sick at a hospital, befriending women and children who have been victims of human trafficking, and much more.

Ryan, have you lost your mind!? Why on earth would you want to do this?
There will be another blog post soon on this question. But in the mean time know that I wholeheartedly believe God has called me to the race. I didn’t want to make such a sacrifice, but His will be done not mine! I say this not in a sense of bitterness, but JOY. Because His plan for my life is so much better than any I could imagine.
Alright I just have one more question. How much does this cost and how are you going to pay for it?
