China: December 15, 2012
So far in China, God is placing it on my heart to “lead from your knees.” I take this to mean literally leading from my knees by being in prayer for my team most of the day. I got sick about our second day in China, and have just gotten progressively worse as time went on, thankfully I am on the upswing of whatever this is now I believe! I was very weak, dehydrated, coughing, with a fever and a headache, plus a stuffy/runny nose. I think I caught some strain of the flu perhaps. Either way, during my time of misery, like I said previously, I felt like God was telling me specifically for this time “lead from your knees.”
So, because I had no energy really to do much else, and it was what God was leading me towards, I began to really pray for my team. Reading scripture and praying. Prayer for us as a new team to fuse together, for trust to be built, and for us to continue learning more about each other and how we can best build each other up into the men and women that God is calling us to be. So as my teammates were all out doing prayer walks around the city, going to mosques and praying there, interacting with people on the street, I was sitting in my room doing the only productive thing I could do: PRAY. Pray for divine appointments, for walls to be broken down, for relationships to be built, for angels who speak English to cross their paths, and for eyes to see those appointments. For a dismembering of any fear that may be infecting us and preventing us from sharing the love of Christ and being one hundred percent obedient to his daily invitations. If I could sum up my China experience thus far, I think you can probably guess what it would be: PRAYER.
Thank you to all of you who are praying for me on a regular basis, it was clearly evident last month. Satan likes to throw lies at us to draw us mentally away from Christ, and that happened quite a bit this month to myself and to other members of i-Squad, but thanks be to God for people like you who are on your knees for me daily. China is a very spiritually heavy and oppresive country, so thank you for all of the prayer work and hours you put in on me and my team's behalf. It definitely did not go overlooked this month, and we would not have been able to survive spiritually had we not had warriors fighting for us at home! Thank you!
