Hey guys! My names Ryan… Ryann.. Ryan Ashley.. RyGuy…… you get the idea! I am a resident of Kennesaw, GA, a daughter, a sister, have a handful of crazy animals, don't live on a farm, am an equestrian, despise ketchup, love being outside, enjoy pretending like I'm a halfway decent photographer, tried to play the guitar once, have spent the past few summers backpacking through the Grand Tetons (definitely God's country!), and was in school with the intention of majoring in psychology, however, a few weeks ago that plan came to a (temporary?) halt! That was when the Lord called me to take a leap of faith and jump on board with the World Race squad due to launch in January 2012! I first heard about the race when i was a senior in high school, and made plans with a close friend of mine that we would go together… after we finished college! Yet again, God showed me that his timing and my timing are currently nothing of the like!

It's really been a huge burden for me to figure out what I am called to do with my life. I was in school but had NO real idea what i actually want to study. I liked Kennesaw, but had no idea what i was doing here. I have a job, but the company is closing towards the end of the year. I've been comfortable with my cozy life here.. comfortable, but discontent.. yearning deep inside for much more. Little to my knowledge, the Lord's plan for that discontentment would be for me to pack up and spend eleven months dwelling eleven different countries!

"But, God! What about my family? my friends?i can't leave them! and what about school? shouldn't i finish first? and my horse, he's in training and finally showing progress! eleven months is a long time! and $15,500 is a ton of money!"

It's been absolutely incredible to see the Lord place his hand over all of my petty little worries! He's doing some MAJOR work, and our adventure hasn't really even begun! I am beyond excited and know without a doubt that God's going to move in some huge ways during these next few months of preparation, and definitely over our eleven months abroad next year!

Thanks for putting up with my super scatterbrained-ness, and welcome to my journey.. i'm honored to have you along for the ride! 🙂
