So yeah, This is something a lot of you have probably wondered what exactly this world race thing is. I will use the World Race online Brochure as a reference in this description..
In July. There will be 5 different routes leaving from the states. Each route will go to 11 countries in 11 months. Each route is different. Each route has 40-60 Racers on it and is split into squads of 6 or 7 racers each. These squads will spend the majority of their time together and the squads will spend time in different parts of each country we go to.
So. my route?
- Albania, Romania, Malawi, Zambia, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Chile.
- 11 countries. 4 continents.
Over the last few years, I have gained perspective believing there is value to short term missions trips. It is important to encourage the longer term missionaries, to serve as a boost, as well as provide some grunt work and added spark.

I’m going on this trip fully believing that I may see God do I’ve never experienced before. I don’t look at this trip as a (adventure) product. I look at it as a season of my life that I want to be the “hands and feet”. A servant for Him.
I don’t want to be glorified for doing a trip as extreme as this, because I know just how humbling of an experience this will be, and how insignificant I am compared to all that I will see.
SO. in conclusion. My expectations for God’s work on this trip are not quantifiable, but it doesn’t have much to do with me. However, I’ll try my best to encourage my friends, love others, and pursue the Lord with all my heart.
The WR is going to be a stretching experience to say the least
