This blog may be one of the most important that I post! Without the funding for this trip, it won't happen! I do know with all my heart that the Lord is going to make this happen for me but it can't happen if people don't know.
I need to raise around $15,000 for the trip, this doesn't all have to be before I leave but a good amount of it does!
- $150 Deposit – Due 3/18/2011 (2 weeks after my acceptance date)
- $3,000 – Due 6/18/2011 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
- $6,000 – Due 9/17/2011 (2 weeks prior to my trip)
- $10,500 – Due 1/1/2012 (End of 3 months on the field)
- $14,300 – Total Due 4/1/2012 (End of 6 months on the field)
-This number may seem large… but in reality its quite small. If 60 people decided to give from there heart only $25 / month to support this WORLD changing journey (literally WORLD changing) this trip would be FULLY funded. I'm asking for anything, and if money is tough (which I understand) maybe even an extra $5, it can go a long way!
– and I know it's going to happen…
-Once I found out I had gotten accepted to go on the worldrace I continued to pray for the next two weeks before I accepted, wanting to make sure this trip was in God's Will for me. I knew w/ the acceptance there was a $150 deposit… which may not seem like a lot, but when you just graduated college $150 is tough to come up with extra, I wasn't sure where the Lord wanted me to come up with it. I prayed that God would come up with that money in a wild fashion, to really almost wow me, but I wasn't sure if he was gonna do that. I decided I would take it out of my paycheck and God would stretch out the rest til my next check. When I had called on Friday to accept I was told "Well it's a good thing your accepting! because there was a $150 anonymous donation in your name yesterday." All I could think to myself was "Oh you of little faith?" – There God was, coming through again and leaving me in Awe, – Throwing a good old "YES" fist it was confirmed in my heart that God was sending me to Make Disciples for him!
– I just want to tell All of you thank you ahead of time, because I know God is going to move hearts and make this trip happen.
-PRAYER is a powerful Act, I ask for your prayers for this trip for my preparation, my teams preparation, the fundraising, the hearts that God is going to lead my team and I to and my family as well!
